Risen Musketeer Character Guide

Type: Infantry

Threat: Moderate

What the Risen Musketeer Is

Gunpowder infantry of the risen line. Musketeers hold distance, fire a measured shot, then go through a visible reload — the entire counterplay loop lives inside that reload. They are dangerous in mixed groups where a Soldier bodyblocks your approach while the Musketeer shoots from behind, and they are the reason you should always close distance along cover or during another enemy's swing.

How to Fight Them

Dash on the shot or just after it, then delete them during the reload — their posture bar is not built for a brawl. If you carry the Blunderbuss, meeting them at mid-range with a spread shot trades fairly; otherwise a single closed-gap melee string ends them. Headshots count as weak-point hits for God's Trigger-style streaks, so a pistol quick-draw before the melee engage is a clean habit.

Never stand still to trade shots with a Musketeer — his reload is shorter than your healing animation. Make him switch to the bayonet, then treat him as a Soldier.

Why They Matter

Musketeers teach ranged threat management in a melee-first game. Every arena that mixes them with melee units is a positioning exam, and the skill transfers directly to boss fights that add their own ranged pressure.
